Glowing skin for glowing prices: Three affordable skin care buys

This week I thought I would do a post on three fab skin care products: Garnier Simply Essentials 2 in 1 Makeup remover, B. Ready Day Cream and Vaseline Spray & Go body moisturiser. I swear by these products to keep my skin looking healthy and fresh and what makes them even more appealing is their low price tags, as we all know how expensive a skin-care regime can be!
These products definitely work best for dry skin because they provide so much moisture and maintain a clear complexion. So, for all you dry-skin gals out there, I would really recommend investing in these products because they are definite game changers.

 1. Garnier Simply Essentials 2 in 1 Makeup Remover:

This cleanser is an absolute life saver, not only does it leave your skin silky smooth but it also takes off heavy eye makeup with the swish of a cotton pad. That's what makes it so miraculous, instead of having to faff around using a cleanser AND a make up wipe for those smoky-eyes, it removes both eye makeup and foundation, leaving skin flawless, clean and replenished after a long day of statement eyes and heavy blush.

This cleanser is a definite winner for those like me who have tried every product going to put a stop to rough, dry skin and failed. The application is a little oily/greasy in texture but you soon get used to it. Plus, it's because of this moisture that your skin feels so wonderful after using it! It can be bought from Superdrug, however I bought mine from Home Bargains for about £2-3.00 , so it's worth heading to your local store to save some dollar.

This product really is worth every penny (despite it not being worth many penny's at all) because it does the job (tremendously) and lasts a long time. The excellent thing about this cleanser is that even when it does run out, you're not having to break the bank to restock it. For best results: Pour a generous amount of the liquid on to a cotton pad or two (it all depends on how much makeup you wear) and gently remove makeup by making circular motions with your hand. I tend to use two cotton pads, one to use for my foundation and another for my eyes because otherwise my face ends up smearing black from my forehead to my chin!

After using this product, I simply refuse to go back to makeup wipes. I think you don't realise how bad they really are until you find a good enough cleanser that makes you realise where you have been going wrong all these years. When I used to use makeup wipes, I found so much foundation-residue on my face when using a cleanser after. So all in all, wipes are a complete waste of time and certainly don't clear your face properly.

                                   2. B. Ready Day Cream SPF 15 50ml:

Next up, the moisturiser of dreams by Superdrug's new exclusive brand: 'B.'. This product is an every day essential and I cannot stress how amazing it is. My sister actually introduced this product to me and ever since I have been passing on the wisdom to my friends. The best way to describe this product is: flawless. After applying it, it actually feels like you have a new layer of skin, perhaps because it is really thick and rich in texture. My day cream is in the 'Phase 1' category, as B. have four different phases according to age, mine being the 20-30 range. I think this is a fab idea because it shows how each product is specialised for different age and skin types and gives you confidence that what you are buying is best suited for your skin.

Considering B are a relatively new brand, they have got the packaging spot on. The product itself looks clean and clinical, sleek and professional and really markets itself well on the skincare shelf in Superdrug, despite being next door to more popular skincare brands. B. have recently updated the packaging too, told to me by my friend who recently ran out and restocked. Upon receiving her new moisturiser, the packaging had changed ever so slightly to a frosted glass container, instead of plastic. Again, giving the product itself a really elegant and elite finish. B.'s products are also vegetarian and vegan friendly because they do not test on animals, so what's not to love about this new brand.

If you want to follow in my footsteps and try this moisturiser out, be sure to apply a lot and gently rub it into the skin until all residue disappears. Spending more time applying the product really makes a huge difference, leaving skin feeling even softer than before. This product also works perfectly with the Garnier Cleanser I mentioned previously and I can guarantee you will see (and feel) a massive difference after using it.

In store this product is retailed at £10.99, however you can grab it online for £4.95. So, follow the link below if you want to start adding to your basket. I would really take this tip on board because the price of this product fluctuates and varies across different stores. I'm guessing this is because B. is a fairly new brand. You can sometimes get this moisturiser on offer, however I think the brand have realised the moisturiser is the most popular product out of everything they offer and so cleverly ensure that this isn't included in the BOGOF or half-price offers!

Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser Aloe Fresh 190ml:

Firstly: Why did Vaseline only just think of this ace idea? I feel like this product is the answer to every girls prayers, as it smells great, feels great on skin and is the lazy way to have instantly soft skin after a long soak in the tub. No longer do us ladies have to spend ten minutes moisturising our bods when we are in a rush to get to work (or heading to the bar for drinks with the girls).

This spray-can of goodness comes in three different editions, consisting of:
Aloe Fresh, Essential Moisture and Cocoa Radiant. The Aloe Fresh is my favourite because it smells so clean, crisp and fresh all at the same time. The Cocoa Radiant smells delicious, however it is quite a strong smell. So, if you are opting for something a little lighter in fragrance, I would strongly recommend the Aloe Fresh or Essential Moisture. It all really depends on your tolerance to smell. You can buy this brill product from leading health and beauty stores. However, it does tend to be more expensive, i.e it is retailed at £4.99 in Boots. Not to worry though, you can head to good old B&M Bargain's to purchase the spray for the light price of £1.99.

Vaseline is a popular and trusted brand for skin and this product certainly lives up to the brands sterling reputation because it does the tedious task of moisturising, effortlessly. Literally all you need to do with this product is spray away! In certain areas, the moisturiser may build up a bit, so you may want to rub it in to your skin. However, this not essential because it soon soaks in anyway. The texture is exactly what it says on the bottle: non-greasy, it feels so light on your skin and within a minute or two it is dry enough to get dressed and boss the day ahead with silky smooth legs. You can spray this product all over your body, in fact, I have used it on my face before when I've ran out of moisturiser and it worked just as well as it did on the rest of my body. However, stick to the B. cream I mentioned before for your face because it's a lot thicker and works a lot better for different skin types.

I would say the only downside of this product is that when it runs out, the liquid tends to come out a lot thicker, meaning you have have to rub it in for yourself like a normal moisturiser. Turning a negative into a positive, this at least allows you to use every last squeeze left in the canister. Plus it reminds you to stop being lazy, forcing you to grab a new one from the shop ASAP before it completely runs out.
